Terms & Coaching Disclaimer
Business information
Move At Leisure is a registered sole proprietorship in British Columbia, Canada, operated by Emile Connaughton, Founder & Head Coach. Questions can be sent to emile@moveatleisure.com.
Website information
This website provides general information about Move At Leisure and its coaching services. Submitting an application, sending an email or attending a discovery conversation does not create a coaching relationship. A coaching relationship begins only after both parties agree to the work, a written client agreement is provided and the required payment is arranged.
Coaching is not medical care
Move At Leisure provides fitness, movement, strength and lifestyle coaching. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or rehabilitate medical conditions and does not replace care from a physician, physiotherapist, mental health professional, dietitian or other licensed provider.
Seek appropriate professional care for severe or sudden pain, swelling, loss of function, chest pain, breathing difficulty, neurological symptoms, a suspected injury or any other urgent or concerning condition.
Participation and personal responsibility
Physical activity carries inherent risk. Clients are responsible for sharing relevant limitations, working within agreed boundaries, stopping an activity that feels unsafe and seeking professional assessment when appropriate. Results vary and no specific physical, health or lifestyle outcome is guaranteed.
The eight-session intake
The Move At Leisure intake includes eight private, 60-minute coaching sessions, individual programming, a personal Notion space, between-session communication and ongoing adjustments during the intake period. Sessions are held online through Google Meet and are normally completed weekly over approximately two months, as life permits.
The current fee is $1,200 CAD, paid in full or in two payments of $600 CAD. When using the split option, the second payment is due before session five. Payment is required before confirmed coaching sessions begin.
Scheduling and missed sessions
Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice. A session cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, is normally counted as used. Move At Leisure may make a reasonable exception for an emergency or unusual circumstance.
Completion period and pauses
The intake is intended to be completed in approximately two months. All eight sessions expire four months after the first session. One pause of up to 30 days may be agreed when life circumstances genuinely interrupt the process. Any pause or exception should be confirmed in writing.
Cancellation rights and refunds
Before payment, clients receive a written agreement that includes the service details, payment terms and applicable cancellation rights. Under British Columbia law, a customer may cancel a fitness or personal services contract within 10 days after receiving a copy of the contract for any reason. Additional cancellation and refund rights may apply when the customer's circumstances materially change, the services materially change or required contract information is missing.
After any applicable statutory cancellation period and once the intake has begun, payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If Move At Leisure ends the coaching relationship or cannot provide the remaining sessions, the unused portion of the amount paid will be refunded. Any refund required by law will be calculated and issued according to the law that applies.
A cancellation notice may be sent by email to emile@moveatleisure.com. Nothing in these terms limits a consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
Between-session communication
Clients may use WhatsApp for relevant questions, updates, wins, voice notes or roadblocks. Messages are normally answered within one business day. This is not an emergency, crisis, medical or instant-response service.
Intellectual property and client materials
Website content, coaching materials, programming structures and original resources remain the property of Move At Leisure unless otherwise stated. Client-specific materials are provided for that client's personal use and may not be sold, republished or distributed without written permission.
Governing law
These website terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, while preserving any mandatory consumer rights that apply in another jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the offer, business practices or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
